Longer centers may be obtained by using longer nipples. See Formula. B1=Valve Take Out Model 15A: 1.25" F1=Valve Offset Model 15A: .75" offset permits a cleaning brush to enter INFERNO gage from vent or drain port of Valve with open passage through valve body, "offset" from valve stem. This allows blow-down & clean-out while valve stem is closed. N1 = N2 = 1.5" Valve Centers (C) calculated using 1-1/2" long nipples between INFERNO Gage & Valves at Top & Bottom. Shorter C-C may be obtained by using "Close Nipples" which are 1-1/8" long for 1/2" Ø pipe and 1-3/8" long for 3/4" Ø pipe, although this practice is not recommended because the Gage will butt to the Valve with no room for further tightening. Adjustment Floating tailpiece on Valve allows adjustment of Center-to-Center (C-C) of the complete Valve-Gage-Valve assembly. Inferno 15A Single Union valve set allows ±1/4" adjustment in final C-C. Other valves such as 15P and 15J offer approx. ±3/16" or less adjustment. Some valves have no means of adjustment.
